Webster MA Meet -

SUNDAY May 4th 2008
Please note that due to a conflict this meet must be held on a Sunday

Time: 9:00AM - ?

Held at Memorial Park on Lake Chaubunagungamaug. The meet is at the end of Memorial Beach Dr. in the center of the map pictured below. It is about 4 minutes off I-395 exit 2 north or south. (See map below)

IMPORTANT - Please Read the below:

Host Joe M. worked very hard to make this meet happen this year (it almost didn't). Your help complying with the town's rules is very important. We have been informed by the Town of Webster that any AOMCI people not complying with the park rules will impact our ability to use this venue in the future. Please EVERYONE help police the event and make sure all our members are aware of the following:

1) No wake in the cove (Ask if you are unclear about where the no-wake zones are)
2) No parking in the main lot - use the area at the top of the main lot (Except for people with a handicapped parking permit)
3) Please keep all selling of items low-key
4) Operate your boat in a safe & respectful manner at all times

5 ) All boats must have proper registration, equipment and follow all boating rules
- Park Rangers and Marine Patrol may issue tickets

This is a wonderful event and a great place to run antique or classic outboards. Let's all do our part to comply with the rules of the park so we can have this event next year.

While the lake may have a funny name, it is a fantastic and scenic place to check out. There is a nice boat ramp, beach and picnic area and playground.

Shades of meets past!

The Safe Running of Boats & Motors
All boats used at a Yankee Chapter AOMCI wet meets must be legally registered, insured and have all safety equipment as required by law. Since safety is a concern for all recreational boaters, the wearing of lifejackets is recommended for all individuals and is required by law in many states for children 12 years of age and under. Laws may also require children 12 and under to wear lifejackets on docks and other areas.

When boating, please act responsibly and obey all rules of the road and local laws regarding speed and noise limitations. Please be sure that all equipment is operated in a safe and respectful manner. The consumption of alcoholic beverages at Yankee AOMCI functions is strictly prohibited.

You must be an AOMCI member in good standing or be the guest of a current member to participate in Yankee Chapter meets.
