THIS MEET HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER

Member Rod C. has offered to hold a small get-together at Rogers Lake in Old Lyme CT. Located in the South East corner of Connecticut, Rogers lake is a 265 acre fresh-water lake nestled in a residential neighborhood. Link to CT DEP website information on Rogers Lake There are only about 20 parking places at the State launch ramp so please park carefully and try to make as much room as possible for others. There is a "comfort station" adjacent to the parking lot and a deli nearby for snacks and food.

NOTE:
Due to early morning rowing practice on the lake PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 8:30AM Also, because it is in a residential neighborhood please be a good neighbor and refrain from bringing loud motors.
This is the perfect venue to run small boats outboards - any make, any year - the older the better!!

There will be coffee and donuts in the morning. Bring your own lunch or food is available nearby.

From points South / West:

Follow I-95 North to Exit 70. (The exit is just after the Baldwin Bridge so keep right). At the bottom of ramp take a left onto Neck road. Follow for about 200 yards and take a right at the second light onto Halls Road / RT 1 north. Follow through the shopping district and take a left at the second light following RT 1 north. (Also called Boston Post Rd. in the map below) Follow RT 1 for about 2.5 miles and take a left on Grassy Hill Road. You will see the lake on the left and Grassy Hill Road is after the lake. The boat ramp & parking is about .7 miles on the left.

From points North:

(It is the first exit you will come to after merging onto 95. The exit is just after the Baldwin Bridge so keep right). Photos from 2011

Graham LOVES his '47 Sportsman, a gift from Bob Z.
Ken H. and Bill A. try out a QD-14 - motor was a fresh barn find and had just been gone through. Since the covers are a pain to install, best to be sure everything is working first!
Ken B. zooms by Gary and Michelle.
Ken's Mark 6 was a little reluctant to start but once it did - zoom!

Michelle and Gary filming the fun!

Long time Yankee Chapter anchor-man Dan T. recently re-located back to his home state of Missouri. Thanks to Tom M. for arranging and taking this photo - we do miss you Dan!
