Hookset NH Meet - June 10th 2006

By Yankee Chapter Correspondent Rick W.

Pictures from Tom C's meet in Hooksett, taken by Hal S. Notice the bushes growing from the water, and the white water in the middle of the river caused by the current that was probably running at about 10 mph. One hardy soul launched his boat, but he wisely returned to the ramp. About 18-20 people showed up, and 9 or 10 boats. The weather should clear eventually, it always has so far... 8^)

Not the best morning for a wet meet, but still better than a day at work!
Green grass & high tides... Lots of rain in New England this spring!
A stormy day on the Merrimack
Bill A. out with the trusty Martin 100
If the water gets much higher, I may need to use this!
Boy, I could really use a hot cup of coffee - let's move the meet to the nearest Dunkin' Donuts??!!
